About the College
Shri Ram College of Commerce, or SRCC as it is called, is one of the leading colleges in Delhi. The roots of the college go back to the establishment of the Commercial Education Trust in 1920. The trust set up an institution called the Commercial School which later became the Commercial College after its affiliation to Delhi University in 1926. The college initially functioned out of a rented bungalow at 8, Darya Ganj, New Delhi.

Upgradation to a degree college occurred in 1932 and the college moved to the Delhi University Campus in 1954. The college is best known for its B.Com (Hons) course. It is interesting to note that this course started as the B.A. (Honours) (Commerce Group) course in 1943.

Size, Infrastructure, Facilities
All the class rooms and tutorial rooms in the college are fully air- conditioned. The class rooms have been upgraded with ceiling mounted LCD projectors, roll down screens, green boards and podium for faculty. The college is recognized as a Heritage Building and this look has been preserved with vintage teak furniture.

The college library seats about 300, has a collection of about 65,000 volumes and is WiFi enabled. The college has two well equipped computer centres with about 40 computers each. The college has extensive playing grounds, a swimming pool, tennis courts, gymnasium and badminton/ basketball courts.

The college provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. It also has an auditorium with a capacity of 750. The college has a total strength of about 2000 students.
