| Bhim Rao Ambedkar College was set up by the Delhi Government to meet the educational needs of the residents of the trans-Yamuna area. The college owes its name to the fact that was established in 1991- the birth centenary year of Dr. B R Ambedkar. The courses offered by the college are mostly of a professional nature. |

| Bhim Rao Ambedkar College occupies a 9 acre campus in the trans-Yamuna area. The facilities include a two- storey computer lab with internet access; a library with 23,000 books and a seminar hall with a capacity of 250. The college has good sports facilities with its alumni being Delhi University record holders. It is one of the few colleges in Delhi University with its own shooting range. |
