| About the College |
| Bhagini Nivedita College was set up with the goal of transforming the lives of
girl students. The college is named after Sister Nivedita, an Irish born disciple of Swami Vivekananda
who spent her life in India working for the welfare of people. Bhagini Nivedita College was set up in 1993 by the Delhi Administration. Starting out with just two courses the college has expanded continuously. It became the first college in Delhi University to offer Apparel Design and Construction as a subject. |

| Size, Infrastructure, Facilities |
| The infrastructure available at the college includes a full complement of
laboratories including those for Apparel Design, Food Technology, Nutrition & Health Education; a 22,000
title library; a brand new computer centre and campus wide WiFi coverage. A new laboratory block and A-V
room are under construction. The college has a strength of about 1100 students and a staff consisting of 63 teaching and 40 non- teaching members. |
